The emergency intervention became necessary following severe gully erosion that damaged sections of the road infrastructure, posing serious danger to motorists and other road users. The Gwada–Kuta Road is one of the busiest roads in the state, recording heavy vehicular movement daily due to its economic importance.

To avert further deterioration and ensure the safety of lives and property, NIGROMA swiftly mobilised to the affected areas and carried out comprehensive repairs, restoring the road to safe and motorable condition.
Speaking on the development, the Managing Director of NIGROMA, Hon. Usman Magaji, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to sustaining road infrastructure across the state in line with Governor Umaru Bago’s New Niger Agenda, which places high priority on infrastructure development, public safety and economic growth.
