MUNYA STAKEHOLDERS DECLARE SUPPORT FOR MODIBBO’S RE-ELECTION BID — NAJUME

Stakeholders and youth groups in Munya Local Government Area have thrown their weight behind Ismail Musa Modibbo for a second term in the House of Representatives, endorsing him as their preferred candidate for the Shiroro, Munya and Rafi Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement followed a high-level stakeholders’ meeting held in Sarkin-Pawa, where community leaders, youths, and political stakeholders unanimously expressed confidence in the lawmaker’s leadership and representation.

Addressing journalists shortly after the meeting, Hon. Bala Najume said the endorsement was based on Modibbo’s “remarkable achievements, accessibility, and dedication to the welfare of the people.”

According to him, the federal lawmaker has distinguished himself through interventions in education, empowerment programmes, community development projects, and support for agricultural activities across the constituency.

Najume further noted that Rt. Hon. Modibbo’s empowerment schemes, particularly skills acquisition programmes and assistance to farmers, had positively impacted many youths and women, helping them achieve economic stability.

The stakeholders also applauded the lawmaker’s contributions to tackling insecurity in the constituency, especially his support for security agencies combating banditry and criminal activities in affected communities.

They equally commended his humanitarian efforts, including the distribution of relief materials and palliatives to vulnerable residents to ease the hardship caused by the country’s economic situation.

Reaffirming their position, the forum declared total support for Modibbo’s re-election ambition and urged residents of Shiroro, Munya, and Rafi local government areas to remain united in support of what they described as “tested and people-oriented leadership.”

The meeting ended with a call for stronger unity and cooperation among communities within the federal constituency to sustain development and ensure continued progress ahead of the 2027 polls.
