ABACON CELEBRATES IBB @85

The Action Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Bida, Gbako, and Katcha Federal Constituency, Hon. Mohammed Abubakar, popularly known as Abacon, has congratulated the former military ruler, Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (rtd), on his 85th birthday celebration

In his congratulatory message on behalf of the people of Bida, Gbako, and Katcha Federal Constituency, Hon. Abacon noted that the eight-year stewardship of the former military president significantly reshaped the country’s, Infrastructural, socio-economic and political landscape.

Reflecting on the administration, the ADC House of Representatives candidate said General Babangida will be remembered for massive investments in infrastructure, most notably the Third Mainland Bridge, and for economic reforms that liberalised the Nigerian economy and widened opportunities for growth.

Hon. Abacon further recalled the celebrant’s establishment of enduring national institutions—such as the State Security Service (SSS), National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) alongside the creation of new states and the relocation of the federal capital from Lagos to Abuja.

He, however, lauded the former military president for his service and sacrifices to the nation, praying to Almighty Allah to grant him good health, wisdom, and strength for the years ahead.
