OBI -KWANKWASO DEFECTION CREATES TEMPORARY SETBACK–Mark

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), has admitted that the defection of former presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, has affected the opposition coalition during the forthcoming 2027 general election.
The National Chairman of the Party, Senator David Mark who disclosed this on Wednesday while addressing the members of ADC Forum (former Federal Lawmakers) at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja stressed that Peter Obi and Kwankwaso’s defection will spur the ADC to work harder.
“No doubt, the exit of Obi and Kwankwaso has its impact but that will spur us to work harder.” he said
The ADC Chairman is however confident that the party would produce candidates who can win elections, assuring that it would overcome the challenges it’s currently facing.
“We must close our ranks and avoid issues of factionalization. Our opponents are bringing renegades as one-man factions. We shall overcome all their shenanigans.” he said
“Nigerians are already with us and we all need to be on board. That is why I urge us all to work together and succeed together.”
It will be recalled that Peter Obi and Kwankwaso recently dumped the ADC for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) in pursuit of their joint presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 election.
