NIGERIAN ARMY KILL SEVERAL BANDITS IN SOKOTO STATE

Several bandits have been neutralised and hideouts dismantled by Troops under Operation FANSAN Gamma in coordinated operations around Dangulbi and Kurawa villages in Sokoto State.
The Military Operation was said to have led to the killing of multiple armed suspects during clearance missions aimed at flushing out criminal elements terrorising rural communities in the area.
Motorcycles and various assault weapons believed to have been used for raids, kidnappings, and other violent activities across parts of the North-West were also recovered from the destroyed hideouts.
The operation reportedly forms part of the ongoing efforts launched by the Nigerian Army to restore stability in Sokoto and neighbouring states, where banditry and rural attacks have remained a persistent challenge.
Security authorities say intensified ground and intelligence-led operations are being sustained to disrupt criminal networks and deny them safe havens in forests and remote communities.
