NIGER 2027: SHAMAKI ANNOUNCES NIGER NORTH’S STRATEGIC SUPPORT FOR NAMI
PDP, GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE, NIGER STATE
The people of Niger North Senatorial District will vote massively for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Alhaji Muhammad Nami, in the 2027 general election.
Hon. Isiyaka Shamaki, the PDP candidate for the Niger State House of Assembly (Rijau Constituency), made this declaration while addressing journalists.
He described Nami as a competent leader capable of tackling the severe insecurity, economic hardship, and underdevelopment that have plagued Niger State over the last three years under the administration of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago.
While noting that Niger State is richly blessed with human, natural, and agricultural resources, Shamaki emphasized the urgent need for a proactive leader.
He stated that Nami possesses the deep understanding required to properly harness these vast potentials to drive massive economic growth and development across the state.
PDP, House of Assembly Candidate, Rijau constituency
The House of Assembly hopeful argued that the rising tide of hardship and insecurity across Niger State stems directly from poor leadership and the mismanagement of state resources by the Bago administration.
He asserted that these failures have ultimately clogged the wheels of progress in the state.
Shamaki pointed out that despite receiving ballooned federal allocations, the “Farmer Governor” Umar Bago has failed to prioritize projects that improve citizen welfare or ease economic burdens.
Instead, he claimed the current administration focuses heavily on luxury projects and self-glorification at the expense of critical, life-changing infrastructure.
Turning to security, Hon. Shamaki strongly criticized the Bago administration for failing to protect lives and property, particularly in the Niger North Senatorial District.
He lamented that a raging storm of banditry has left hundreds dead and displaced thousands of others into various Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps, leaving the zone completely abandoned to its fate.
Furthermore, he highlighted that persistent insecurity has forced local farmers throughout Niger North to abandon their farmlands for their own safety.
Concluding his address, Shamaki declared that the electorate of Niger North will no longer support a leader who abandons them in times of need.
He assured that the district is fully ready to back Muhammad Nami, who is prepared to offer proactive leadership, collaborate effectively with federal security agencies to end banditry, and swiftly resettle all displaced communities.
