ABUGI PLEDGES PEOPLE-ORIENTED REPRESENTATION IN CHANCHAGA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY

A leading aspirant for the Chanchaga Federal Constituency seat in Niger State under the platform of the Action Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Mohammed Abdulkadir Abugi, has pledged purposeful and people-oriented representation if elected in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking while addressing journalists in Minna, Abugi said his decision to contest was driven by a strong desire to contribute to the development of the constituency and improve the living standards of the people.
“I am inspired by the need to give back to the land of my birth and continue the legacy of selfless service,” he said.

He stressed that the Chanchaga Federal Constituency deserves representation that is not only visible, but also impactful one that addresses real challenges and delivers tangible dividends of democracy.
The House of Representatives hopeful pledged to leverage legislative instruments to tackle the myriad of challenges facing the constituency, including youth unemployment, inadequate healthcare, and limited access to quality education.
“This includes pushing for better skills acquisition programmes for our teeming youths, supporting farmers and market women, and improving educational and health facilities across the constituency,” he added.

Abugi, who recently resigned from the National Assembly after eight years of service, said he would apply his experience to lobby relevant agencies for the development of Chanchaga Federal Constituency if elected.
As the 2027 general elections draw nearer, attention is gradually shifting to Hon. Mohammed Abdulkadir Abugi as he positions himself as a key contender in the race for the House of Representatives seat.
