VATSA BLASTS BWALA OVER COMMENTS ON CARDINAL ONAIYEKAN
…… Backs Catholic Bishops over submissions on Poverty, Hardship Insecurity in Nigeria
From Minna

A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Niger state has advised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to call to order, his spokespersons following their attack and comments on the Catholic Bishops of Nigeria over what he called “honest and sincere submissions” by the Bishops on the state of the nation.
Vatsa said the action of President Tinubu spokespersons is like adding more salt to injuries already inflicted on the Christian community by the choice of Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2027 election.
The former commissioner for information, culture and tourism in the state, in a statement in Minna on Wednesday, said it is now obvious that the administration has no regards for Christian in Nigeria.
“That is why it’s agents are so free to rain insults on Christian leaders without any provocation. Their comments and attacks on these highly respected leaders in the Christian community will surely hurt the President in his re-election bid”.
He pointed out that “People like Bwala has not only lost in the affairs of honour, he is a grace to the Christian community and to his law profession.
“From his past utterances antecedents, every Nigerian knows what Bwala stands for. He is just a loss dog looking for bones to eat.
“Onanuga and Bwala should know that the Catholic Bishops did not go to Aso Rock to sing “your mandate we stand”, they did go there to look for money or contracts, they didn’t go there to challenge the insult on Christian community over the choice of Tinubu running mate.

For public secretary APC
“They went there to speak for the millions of Nigerians regardless of tribe of religion who find it difficult to afford three square meals in the mix of enormous resources, Nigerians who have been killed due to insecurity, and Nigerians who have sold their houses and all their assets to pay ransom to bandits.
“Anybody who says there is no extreme hunger and poverty in the country today is carrying the course of Nigerians on his head. Nigerians are dying everyday from hunger and hardship.
“Religious leaders who live with these poor Nigerians can no longer keep quiet, they owed Nigerians the moral duty to tell the government the truth.
“They can’t be singing “you mandate we stand” while Nigerians are starving to death due to hunger”.
Vatsa strongly advised the Onanuga and Bwala to going into prayers and fasting to seek for forgiveness from God over their attacks on these respected Christian leaders to avoid the wrath of God.
According to Vatsa, those around President Tinubu must learn to show respect for the Christian faith and the Catholic Church, saying that their comments against Cardinal John Onaiyekan is unfortunate and ungodly.
The former commissioner urged Onanuga and Bwala to take a tour of the country, starting from Borno, the home state of Inuwa Bwala to Niger state if what the Bishops told President Tinubu is not the honest truth or they are playing politics with their submissions.
Vatsa recalled that “We saw in Borno state where people besieged IDP camps and overwhelmed the displaced people in search of food to eat, is Bwala not aware of that.

“Onanuga and Bwala should come to Niger state where people are facing real poverty and hunger despite the noise about agriculture revolution that only ended on the pages of papers.
“Bwala and Onunaga should come to Niger state where pensioners struggled in vain to get their rewards here on earth.
“Farmers have been forced to abandon their farms because of insecurity which the government has continue to pay lip-service to without any success.
“We are in a country where you there is excess money, yet excess poverty and underdevelopment keep steering on the faces of Nigerians”.
