The Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly Rt Hon Abdulmalik Sarkindaji has described his nomination as the most outstanding state assembly Speaker award for the north central geo-political zone by the “Hallowmace Africa” as not a great honor but a greater call to service.

The speaker was picked as the most outstanding Speaker of state assembly from the north central geo-political zone of the country by Hallowmace Africa in it National Legislative Award for 2026.

The Hallowmace Africa in its letter of nomination to the speaker, said the former two times local government chairman and former commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs in Niger state has demonstrated uncommon leadership since he assumed the helm of affairs at the 10th assembly in the state.

According to Hallowmace Africa, Sarkindaji emerged the winner of this year’s award from north central after a careful observation of his handling of proceedings at the state assembly, his relationship with members of the 10th assembly, the executive arm of the government and his contributions to the development of his Constituency.

The speaker will join other winners from other geo-political zones of the country for the Hallowmace Africa, National legislative award 2026, slated for July 9th, 2026 at the NAF event conference center Abuja.

Reacting to the award in Minna, the speaker expressed gratitude to Hallowmace Africa for finding him worthy for the most outstanding speaker award for the north central geo-political zone.

In a statement in Minna by his senior special assistant on Media, Shamsudeen Lawal Binari, the speaker expressed profound gratitude to God and deep appreciation to the members of the 10th assembly for their support for his leadership which he said has translated to the peaceful co-existence in the house, hence the national recognition.

He pointed out that the honor is no doubt a call to greater service to the people, stressing that “I am honoured to be named the most outstanding speaker in the north-central geo-political zone by the Hallowmace Africa at the National Legislative Awards 2026.

“This recognition is not just a personal achievement; it is a testament to the collective efforts of members of the Niger State house of assembly, our dedicated staff, stakeholders, and the resilient people we are privileged to serve”.

He said in the last three years, the 10th assembly under his leadership has demonstrated unwavering commitment towards strengthening democratic institutions, promoting people-oriented legislation, fostering transparency, and supporting the developmental vision of the present administration.

“As we set to receive this honour come 9th July, 2026, we remain inspired to do even more in advancing good governance, effective representation, and sustainable development for our Constituencies for the good of our people.

Sarkindaji therefore thanked the people of his immediate Constituency for their continued support, trust, and prayers adding that “Together, we will continue to build a stronger and more prosperous Niger State”, he submitted.
