The appointment of Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf as the new ‘WAZIRIN KONTAGORA” is expected to bring hope and prospects for Kontagora Emirate. Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf’s wealth of experience in public finance and administration is expected to contribute immensely to the socio -economic growth and development of the Emirate.

The new Wazirin Kontagora is a seasoned administrator, financial expert and promising philanthropist whose accession to the title of his late father (Wazirin Kontagora) is in recognition of his years of dedication, loyalty and service as ” Shattima of Kontagora”.

He is also a bridge builder, community service provider and Philanthropist expected to compliment the ongoing developmental efforts, and quest for continued peaceful co-existence in Kontagora Emirate already started by HRH, Sarkin Sudan Kontagora Alhaji Muhammad Barau Mua ‘zu 11 and the Niger State Farmer Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago’s new Niger Development Agenda Initiative.

For over 24 years, the newly appointed “Wazirin Kontagora” has served with the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) in Abuja. He began his career as commercial officer in 2002 and rose through the ranks to Assistance Director.

Throughout his meritoriously service, he has held various strategic positions, including Accountant with the FCT Secondary Education Board, Budget Officer, Principal Accountant, Chief Accountant. He also served as Acting Director of Finance and Accounts Services at the FCT, Internal Revenue Service ( FCT-IRS) and is currently deployed to the office of Head of Service of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

His well archived Professional career and experience in budgeting, treasury management, taxation, financial planning and Institutional administration earning him recognition as one of the experienced Financial Managers in public service.

The new Wazirin Kontagora is also proficient in modern financial planning Management and administration, etc.

A respected Associate of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), a fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria and member of the Nigerian institute of Management (NIM), including his selfless community service to humanity and development is expected to help him in the discharge of the new title of Wazirin Kontagora towards the overall growth and development of Kontagora Emirate.
