JONATHAN IS NOT INTERESTED IN THE 2027 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION – AIDE

The Former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will not participate in the 2027 presidential election.
The special adviser to ex-president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Jude Imagwe, disclosed this recently while speaking in an interview on News Central Television.
Imagwe, during the interview describes the former President Goodluck Jonathan as a man who is neither hungry for power nor power drunk.
Speaking further, he said there is no indication that Goodluck Jonathan collected or submitted any presidential nomination form amid his being adopted by the Turaki-led faction of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as the faction’s presidential candidate for 2027.
“One thing is clear. That is the fact that I do not think former President Jonathan is power-hungry or power-drunk”, he said
“If he was power-hungry, he would not have relinquished power in 2015. I also do not think that President Jonathan is desperate to return back to Aso Rock because clearly he hasn’t forgotten anything there.
He noted that the former President, is being dragged into the 2027 election by those who desperately want to remain in the spotlight of the 2027 general elections conversations.
“ The unfortunate situation is that certain persons that have masqueraded themselves with dangerous ambition to perpetually want to remain on the airspace of public conversation as regards 2027, have chosen to begin to drag an innocent gentleman’s name who, for reasons too, has still not said anything about it”.
