The Action Democratic Party (ADP) candidate for Chanchaga Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Hon. Shehu Isah Usman, has pledged to provide inclusive and people-oriented representation if elected to the House of Representatives.

Usman, who spoke with journalists in Minna, said his decision to contest the seat was driven by a desire to serve the people and promote their collective interests at the National Assembly.

He said Chanchaga Federal Constituency needed representation that would go beyond visibility to delivering measurable development and addressing the challenges confronting residents.

“Chanchaga Federal Constituency deserves representation that is not just visible but also impactful; one that addresses the challenges and delivers tangible results,” he said.

The ADP candidate identified youth unemployment, inadequate healthcare services and limited access to quality education as some of the major challenges requiring urgent attention.

He pledged to prioritise projects and policies that would directly improve the living conditions of residents, including improved security, skills acquisition programmes for youths, financial support for market women and better educational facilities across the constituency.

Usman also said he had already begun contributing to the development of communities in the constituency, citing the recent purchase of a 33KVA transformer and armoured cable worth millions of naira for Gbeganu and other areas in Minna South Ward.

He said his experience in humanitarian intervention would strengthen his capacity to represent the constituency if elected.

Usman is the Chief Executive Officer of the Dantata Foundation, which provides scholarships, financial assistance to small-scale businesses, payment of hospital bills and humanitarian support to vulnerable members of society.

He said his representation would be anchored on accessibility, transparency and accountability.

“My representation will be defined by accessibility, transparency and results. I will not only bring development but also ensure that the voice of the people of Chanchaga is heard loudly at the national level,” he stated.
