NIGER POLITICAL STAKEHOLDER DECLARES SUPPORT FOR TINUBU RE-ELECTION BID

A prominent political stakeholder in Niger State, Lameen Aliyu, has called on Nigerians to support the re-election bid of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Alhaji Lameen, who serves as Deputy Director General of the APC Renewed Hope Support Group Council for the North-Central Zone, described Tinubu’s re-election as essential for sustaining and consolidating the administration’s reforms over the past three years.
According to him, while the President’s policies have been bold and transformative, they have also come with challenges. He stressed that such measures are necessary to lay a solid foundation for long-term economic stability and growth.

He cited progress in key sectors including economic development, agriculture, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment as evidence of the administration’s achievements.
On security, Lameen acknowledged ongoing efforts by the government but emphasized the need for stronger community-driven frameworks to tackle insecurity. He noted that banditry and kidnapping cannot be addressed by government alone, calling for closer collaboration between local communities and security agencies to strengthen counter-insurgency and anti-kidnapping efforts.
Highlighting education reforms, he pointed to the impact of the National Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), stating that over one million students are currently benefiting from the programme—an outcome he attributed to the administration’s policy direction.
He also referenced a reported drop in rice prices, noting a decline from about ₦120,000 to nearly ₦50,000 per bag, which he said reflects improvements in the agricultural sector.
The APC chieftain further stressed the importance of amplifying the administration’s achievements at the subnational level, particularly in areas such as primary healthcare development.
He concluded by pledging to mobilize the structures of the Renewed Hope Support Group across the North-Central region to deliver strong support for President Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
