MILITARY BASE: NIGERIAN ARMY CLASHES WITH BANDITS IN BORNO
The Troops of operation HADIN KAI have repelled a major attack by Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists on a Military Base in Borno State.
The terrorists according to the Military launched a coordinated assault on a Forward Operating Base in Gajibo, using motorcycles and approached from multiple directions.
The Nigeria Troops reportedly detected the movement early and responded with heavy firepower, including mortar attacks, forcing the insurgents to retreat.
The military said no casualties were recorded among troops during the encounter.
The Military operation was part of the ongoing offensives aimed at sustaining pressure on terrorist groups and disrupting insurgent activities across the North East.
