ADC BETTER POSITIONED TO UNSEAT APC IN 2027 — Agwai

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. John Kasa Agwai, has expressed confidence that the party stands a strong chance of defeating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections, both at the federal level and in Niger State.
Agwai made the assertion while speaking with journalists in Minna, the Niger State capital.
He described the ADC as a credible alternative that Nigerians are increasingly turning to, noting that the party is poised to form a people-oriented government from May 29, 2027.
According to him, many Nigerians—particularly residents of Niger State—are disillusioned after more than a decade of what he termed “broken promises” by the APC-led administration.

Agwai accused the ruling party of attempting to “rebrand and whitewash” its record, despite what he described as years of economic mismanagement that have left citizens worse off than they were 10 years ago.
He pointed to the economic fallout following the removal of fuel subsidies under the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that rising inflation, high food prices, currency instability, and increased transportation costs have significantly worsened living conditions for many Nigerians.
While acknowledging government efforts to address the challenges, Agwai insisted that such measures have fallen short, stressing that citizens continue to face daily hardship.
He called on Nigerians, especially Niger State residents, to rally behind the ADC in the 2027 elections, assuring that the party has the capacity to implement policies that will alleviate economic difficulties and reposition the country for growth.
Agwai, who also declared his intention to contest the Munya, Shiroro, and Rafi Federal Constituency seat, pledged to deploy effective legislative strategies to tackle developmental challenges in the area.
“Let us support the African Democratic Congress to rescue our dear Niger State and Nigeria from the hands of the APC, which has nothing to offer the people,” he said.
