2027 Verdict: ‘ VOTE NAMI , BAGO HAS FAILED’ CAMPAIGN DG. URGES

The electorate in Niger State has been urged to turn out in large numbers and vote for Muhammad Mamman Nami, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the upcoming 2027 general election.
The call was made in Minna by the Director-General of the Muhammad Mamman Nami Governorship Campaign Council, Gambo Ladan, during the distribution of relief materials provided by Nami to victims of the recent tragic mining accident in the state capital.

NAMI GOVERNORSHIP CAMPAIGN DG.
Ladan described Nami as a visionary leader possessing the requisite knowledge and expertise to effectively harness and judiciously utilize Niger State’s vast economic potential for rapid development.
In a sharp critique of the current administration, the Campaign Director-General declared the nearly four-year tenure of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago a failure. He cited the widespread mismanagement of resources accrued to the state, an systemic inability to provide necessary operational support for security agencies, and a glaring absence of critical infrastructure under the current leadership.
Ladan further alleged that Governor Bago has shown a lack of empathy and concern regarding the worsening security situation in the state.
He lamented that citizens who voted the administration into power are routinely killed and kidnapped in large numbers, yet the “Farmer Governor” has failed to visit the affected scenes, a disposition Ladan described as a disastrous failure of leadership.
The Director-General argued that if the federal allocations and internal resources accrued to Niger State had been properly utilized by the Bago administration, the state would be economically competitive alongside leading states like Lagos, Kano, and Abia.
He lamented that despite being blessed with abundant arable land suitable for mass agricultural production and receiving substantial monthly financial inflows from the Federation Account, the state remains trapped in a cycle of stagnation.
Concluding his remarks, Ladan reiterated his call to the people of Niger State to collectively use their voting power in 2027 to vote out the current administration, which he accused of plunging the state into severe hardship and economic underdevelopment.
