NORTHERN YORUBA LEADERS BACK TINUBU RE-ELECTION BID

Yoruba Community Leaders across the 19 Northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have called on political groups to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office.
The call was made in Abuja during a strategic meeting organized by Yoruba leaders in the North.
The initiative aims to mobilize political support across the region to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election, enabling him to continue his development agenda for the country.
Speaking at the event, the National Coordinator of the Yoruba Northern Network for Tinubu (YONNET) the sole adopted political platform of the Yoruba community in the 19 Northern States and the FCT, Hon. James Bolorunduro Olorunfemi, presented the resolution.

Hon. Olorunfemi also serves as the Deputy President-General of the Yoruba community across the 19 Northern states.
Hon. Olorunfemi commended the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for its efforts in improving social amenities, particularly in the areas of road infrastructure, agriculture, the healthcare sector, employment, and job creation. He noted that the ongoing reforms provide ordinary Nigerians with the opportunity to excel in life.
He further stated that Nigeria has rarely experienced such focused leadership, praising President Tinubu for driving the economy forward. He highlighted that multiple government sectors have received increased funding to address critical national needs.
Consequently, the coordinator directed all relevant stakeholders and community leaders to mobilize Yoruba residents in the North. He urged them to sustain campaigns and sensitization efforts on the importance of re-electing the President, emphasizing that the region expects the leader to govern for eight years before power shifts to another region.
YONNET is a newly formed political group emanating from the broader Yoruba Community. The parent body is led by the President-General, Barrister Afeez O. Adigun, who had earlier charged members to eschew violence and maintai
n unity.
