2027: SUPPORT NAMI TO SAVE NIGER  FROM TOTAL COLLAPSE,” ABDUL URGES

Electorates in Niger State have been urged to vote overwhelmingly for Mohammed Mamman Nami, the People’s Democratic Party governorship candidate, in the upcoming general election to prevent the state from slipping into complete collapse.

The appeal was made by the PDP deputy governorship candidate for Niger State, Dahir Danazumi Abdul, during an interview with journalists, where he emphasized that the intervention has become critical given the current precarious state of affairs in Niger.

Abdul expressed deep concern over the state’s trajectory, arguing that despite substantial allocations received from the Federation Account and significant borrowing, the current administration has little to show for its efforts after nearly four years in office.

According to the deputy governorship candidate, citizens are increasingly questioning how the Bago administration has utilized the state’s resources over the last four years, with critics alleging that many of the projects claimed by the state government are actually federal government initiatives.

He assured voters that a PDP victory in next year’s election would guarantee the judicious use of public funds, promising a turnaround driven by sustainable agricultural and industrial frameworks designed to generate thousands of jobs and foster long-term development.

Abdul further criticized the incumbent’s “Farmer Governor” title, arguing that the administration lacks a coherent and strategic outline to effectively reposition the agricultural sector toward tangible success.

He pointed out that vital farming inputs, fertilizers, and modern implements remain largely unaffordable and inaccessible to local farmers, who also face persistent security threats on their lands.

The PDP candidate questioned the validity of the ongoing agricultural revolution narratives, asking what had truly been achieved despite four years of heavy promotion by the current government.

He stated that these systemic shortcomings are the precise challenges the Nami-led administration intends to confront and resolve if elected into office during the forthcoming polls.

Specifically, Abdul noted that their administration will prioritize the establishment of modern irrigation networks across farmlands and create a reliable distribution system to ensure continuous access to affordable inputs to boost agricultural output.

To tackle the widespread insecurity disrupting rural communities, he explained that the Nami administration plans to collaborate closely with relevant security agencies, offering both administrative assistance, logistics, and robust financial support.

The PDP leadership, he added, recognizes that a genuine agricultural transformation is impossible without a secure environment, vowing to exhaust all avenues to restore peace across Niger State.

Abdul also faulted the incumbent governor’s handling of security matters, stating that a leader who fails to provide the necessary backing to security agencies will often blame a lack of direct command over those agencies to hide administrative shortfalls.

On worker welfare, the deputy candidate promised that the payment of pensions, gratuities, and death benefits would be prioritized and settled promptly, rather than being reduced to empty political rhetoric.

Furthermore, he assured the public that standard healthcare facilities and upgraded educational infrastructure would receive immediate attention across all schools throughout Niger State under Nami’s leadership.

Abdul concluded by asserting that the people of Niger State deserve a leadership capable of delivering the true dividends of democracy, expressing confidence that his joint ticket with Mohammed Mamman Nami possesses the decades of administrative experience required to manage the state’s resources transparently and effectively.
