ZAMFARA RESIDENTS KILL 30 BANDITS IN FRESH ATTACK

In a remarkable act of self-defense, residents of Birnin Tudu village in the Gummi Local Government Area of Zamfara State reportedly neutralized more than thirty suspected bandits during a fierce, three-day gunbattle that followed an ambush on their community.

The prolonged confrontation began when a large flock of armed bandits riding motorcycles swarmed the village and opened fire indiscriminately on the locals. Refusing to yield, the villagers rallied together and fought back fiercely to safeguard their families and territory.

This intense, days-long resistance ultimately forced the heavily armed attackers to retreat from the area.

This recent clash underscores the relentless security crisis plaguing rural settlements across Zamfara State and northwestern Nigeria, where communities remain highly vulnerable to frequent raids, mass abductions, and violent criminality.

While the Zamfara State Police Command confirmed the violent encounter and reaffirmed its dedication to restoring order and protecting the area, comprehensive details regarding the exact casualty figures on both sides remain sparse.

Amid ongoing anxiety over these persistent threats, the weary residents continue to call on federal and state security forces for sustained deployments to guarantee long-term peace.
