BANDITS ATTACK PASSENGER VEHICLE, KILLING ALL ON BOARD

Suspected bandits have attacked a passenger vehicle along the Sokoto-Isa road, reportedly killing all occupants on board as they returned from Sokoto city.
While the exact number of casualties remains unconfirmed, the victims were reportedly part of a group of 3,000 newly recruited civil servants invited to the state capital for screening and to collect their official appointment letters.
The tragic ambush occurred as the workers were journeying back to the Isa Local Government Area after completing the exercise. Conflict reporter Bakatsine, who monitors insecurity in North-West Nigeria, broke the news on Wednesday and shared photographs of the deceased, though their identities have not yet been formally verified.
This latest assault has heightened deep anxieties over traveler safety along the Sokoto-Isa axis, a route increasingly plagued by banditry. Neither the Sokoto State Government nor local security agencies have issued an official statement regarding the incident.
