KPAUTAGI CAMPAIGN JOINS KUTIGI COMMUNITY TO CELEBRATE THE 634TH GANI FESTIVAL

The Kpautagi Campaign Team joined the people of Kutigi, Lavun Local Government Area, alongside distinguished guests, community leaders and cultural enthusiasts, to celebrate the historic 634th Gani Festival.

The colourful festival provided an opportunity for the people to celebrate their rich cultural heritage, history and traditions, bringing together members of the community and visitors in an atmosphere of unity, pride and celebration.

Following the official opening of the event, the Chairman of the Gani Festival Committee, Alhaji Baba Madugu Kutigi, Turaki Kutigi, delivered a brief historical account of the Gani Festival.

His presentation provided the gathering with valuable insight into the origin, significance and enduring legacy of the festival, highlighting how the centuries-old tradition has continued to thrive and remain an important part of the people’s cultural identity.

In his opening address, the Chairman of Lavun Local Government, Honourable Dr. Mohammed Alfa Ma’ali, commended the Gani Festival Committee for its dedication and tireless efforts in ensuring the successful hosting of the 634th edition of the Gani Festival.

He warmly welcomed all invited guests and participants to the historic celebration and appreciated everyone whose contributions helped bring the event to life. He further wished guests a safe journey back to their respective destinations at the conclusion of the celebration.

The festival was further enriched by a spectacular display of traditional culture, music, dance and other cultural performances, creating a colourful and memorable atmosphere for all present.

The presence of the Kpautagi Campaign Team at the festival reflects its appreciation of the importance of culture, heritage, community and traditional institutions in fostering unity and preserving the identity of the people.
