BARR. TANKO BEJI DEFECTION, A BLESSING TO APC— GOMNA
The Member representing Bosso Local Government Area in the Niger State House of Assembly, Hon. Abubakar Suleiman Gomna, has described the defection of the former Niger State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Barrister Tanko Beji, and other PDP stakeholders to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as a strategic political advantage.
Speaking to party faithful during the official reception of Barrister Beji and other PDP stakeholders into the APC at the local party secretariat in Makunkele, Bosso Local Government Area of Niger State, Hon. Gomna described Barrister Beji as a political gladiator whose defection to APC would shape the political landscape of Niger State in favour of the ruling party during the 2027 general election.”
It will be recalled that he PDP chieftain, Barrister Tanko Beji, who is from Beji Town in Bosso Local Government of Niger State, is a political guru who has played a vital role in the victory of the former party in the past, but Hon. Gomna said the ruling All Progressives Congress is happy to have him in their camp, as his political knowledge is important to establish a long-term influence of the ruling party in Bosso Local Government Area and Niger State at large during and after the 2027 general election.
Hon. Gomna who doubles as the APC candidate for Niger State House of Assembly , Bosso constituency in the 2027 general election, appreciate the unity and cooperate -co-existence among the party Stakeholders, which has been the source of development in Bosso Local Government Areas.
In his response, the All Progressives Congress party chairman in Bosso Local Government Area, Alhaji Haruna Magaji (Mai ganga) described the defection of the former State PDP chairman, Barrister Tanko Beji as a sign of victory for the All Progressives Congress in Bosso Local Government Area and Niger State at large.
He however assured Barrister Tanko Beji and other defectors of full integrate into the ruling APC , as well as equal opportunity to participate in all party matters both at Local and State Levels.
Others present during the defection ceremony includes All Progressives Congress candidate for Bosso/Paikoro Federal constituency, Hon. Dada , Bosso Local Government council chairman, Hon. Laka and former House of Representatives member Bosso/ Paikoro Federal constituency, Hon Shehu Barewa Beji as well as Hon. Abdullahi Ricco , former House of Representatives member, representing Munya, Shiroro Rafi Federal constituency and other APC party faithfuls.
