HON YAHAYA MOHAMMED ABILITY PDP, NIGER NORTH SENATORIAL CANDIDATE

PDP, NIGER NORTH SENATORIAL CANDIDATE
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Niger North Senatorial District of Niger State, Hon. Yahaya Mohammed Ability, has promised to work with relevant agencies to end the insecurity ravaging the senatorial district if elected in the 2027 general election.
Addressing journalists recently in Minna, Hon. Ability described the recent killing and kidnapping of hundreds of innocent lives by armed bandits during prayers in a mosque in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State as inhuman, barbaric, archaic, and unjustifiable.
Hon. Ability noted that many communities, especially in the Niger North Senatorial District, are experiencing fear, displacement, loss of livelihoods, attacks on farmers, and the disruption of peace upon which development relies.
He promised that if elected, he will leverage legislative instruments to advocate for a stronger security architecture, better intelligence, inter-agency coordination, improved response capacity, community-based security initiatives, and sustained federal attention to the security challenges confronting our communities.
The PDP senatorial candidate also pledged to champion measures that address not only the symptoms of insecurity but also its underlying causes, which include youth unemployment, poverty, a lack of opportunities, poor education, and the absence of sustainable livelihoods.
He berated Governor Umar Bago’s administration for the poor management of the security of lives and properties, which remains a basic responsibility of government at the sub-national level.
Hon. Ability assured Nigerlites that if the PDP is elected, they will ensure that security votes, which he alleged have been poorly managed by Governor Bago’s administration, are properly utilized for the protection of people across the state.
