UN UNDER FIRE: ARGENTINA PRESIDENT DELIVERS SCATHING REBUKE

Argentine President Javier Milei delivered a blistering critique of the United Nations during his speech to the world body on Wednesday, labeling it a “useless” institution run by “arrogant parasites.

” Milei, a staunch Latin American ally of US President Donald Trump, used the global stage to condemn the UN’s governance and what he described as its “woke” agenda

In his address, the Argentine leader accused the UN of failing to uphold its core missions of collective security and human rights, arguing instead that its inefficiencies have allowed “chaos, violence and international terrorism” to thrive .

The United Nations has become a useless organisation, serving only to feed a caste of fatally arrogant parasites disguised as well-intentioned bureaucrats,” Milei stated

.He specifically targeted the UN for “looking the other way” regarding Argentina’s long-standing sovereignty claim over the Falkland Islands (known in Argentina as Las Malvinas).

He asserted that the United Kingdom is flouting a UN resolution that directs both nations to avoid unilateral actions on the disputed territory, which sparked a war between them in 1982

“Those who follow the rules receive no reward for doing so, while those who break them face no repercussions whatsoever,” he remarked

Underscoring his close diplomatic alignment with Donald Trump, the speech coincided with a joint announcement from Argentina and the United States unveiling a new infrastructure initiative .

Dubbed the Andes-Atlantic Corridor, the project aims to modernize Argentina’s transit networks, linking critical economic sectors including the massive Vaca Muerta hydrocarbon deposit to major Atlantic ports and Western markets through targeted investments in energy, transport, and digital infrastructure
