ALLEGED PORTRAIT PRODUCTION: NIGER STATE COMMAND ISSUES CRITICAL REJOINDER
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Niger State Command, wishes to clarify reports and trending information concerning the production of an official portrait of the newly deployed Niger State Commandant, Abdulhamid Salisu Kabara.
For the avoidance of doubt it is imperative to state unequivocally that the Niger State Commandant did not authorise, approve or direct the production, sales or procurement of his official portrait, nor did he mandate any individual, office, department or unit within or outside the Command to undertake such task on his behalf.
On this note; any communication, instruction, request or proposal suggesting that the State Commandant personally directed or authorised the production of the said portrait should be disregarded as this is unauthorised and without the approval of the State Commandant.
To set the record straight, all personnel of the Command, as well as any individual or organisation dealing with the Command in this regard are advised to avoid processing, incur any financial or other obligation based on the earlier communication concerning the proposed portrait.
The Niger State Command enjoins all personnel to exercise due diligence and ensure that official directives are obtained through the appropriate channels and chains of Command before taking action on matters purportedly emanating from the Office of the State Commandant.
Commandant Kabara therefore appreciates the cooperation of all personnel as well as all stakeholders; he reiterates its commitment to transparency, professionalism, accountability and strict adherence to established administrative procedures.
