NIGERIAN ARMY DESTROYED A BANDITS’ HIDEOUT IN KWARA STATE ….
The hideouts of suspected terrorist in Kaiama LGA of Kwara state, has been raided and destroyed by Troops of the 22 Brigade, Sector 1 of Operation Safe South -South.
This development was disclosed in a statement by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency reporter.
According to Makama, the operation that began around 6 am on April 24 saw the Nigerian troops moving towards Tungan Mariga from their harbour area in Kamenji as the clearance operation commenced.
The report added that the troops advanced to Nuku village, where they discovered and dismantled makeshift camps believed to be used by suspected terrorists.
Speaking further, Makama said the troops later proceeded to Woro village, where the commanding officer addressed personnel and assessed the progress of the operation.
The report added that additional support was deployed in the area, including an armoured personnel carrier fitted with a QJC weapon system, to strengthen operational effectiveness.
