NECO EARNS HIGH PRAISE FROM EMIR OF MINNA

The Emir of Minna, Alhaji Farouq Bahago, has urged corporate bodies to support traditional institutions, highlighting their critical role in fostering community peace, stability, and growth.

He made this presentation during the official commissioning of the Mai-Anguwan Gidan Mangoro palace, a project fully funded by the National Examinations Council (NECO).

The event also featured the turbaning of NECO Registrar, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, as the Maji Dadin Gidan Mangoro.

Representing the Emir, Salisu Garba noted that the enduring harmony between NECO and its host communities reflects deep mutual goodwill.

He described the new palace as a powerful symbol of unity, cultural heritage, and social cohesion, proving that sustainable development must respect and preserve traditional cultural foundations.In his remarks, Prof. Wushishi emphasized that the project underscores NECO’s dedication to corporate social responsibility (CSR) alongside its primary mandate of conducting examinations and ensuring educational quality.

He noted that robust education systems rely heavily on stable, peaceful, and well-coordinated communities.Prof. Wushishi praised the Gidan Mangoro community for its long-standing maturity and peaceful disposition, which has allowed NECO to operate smoothly without disruption.

To further enhance local infrastructure and well-being, the council also donated two electricity transformers and motorized boreholes to both the Gidan Mangoro and Gbaganako communities.
