TROOPS RESCUE COUPLE IN KADUNA

Nigerian Military have successfully rescued a abducted couple, Hassan Isah and Juliana Hassan, after engaging armed bandits in a fierce gun battle in the Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, military personnel and local vigilantes tracked down kidnappers in Ateli village early Friday morning. The joint team from Operation ENDURING PEACE (OPEP) and the Mayir Garrison mobilized at 12:30 a.m. on September 11, 2026, immediately after receiving reports that a couple had been abducted.

The troops later intercepted the group, sparking a fierce gun battle. According to Makama, the kidnappers fled into the surrounding area and abandoned the couple, allowing the troops to rescue them safely.

Following the incident, the injured Isah was evacuated to General Hospital, Wamba, for medical treatment. Meanwhile, security forces are tracking the fleeing abductors while military troops maintain a strong presence in the area to deter further violence.
