NIGER PDP PRESENTS CERTIFICATE OF RETURN TO CANDIDATES

The Niger State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has presented certificates of return to its candidates, affirming them as the party’s flag bearers for various elective positions ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during the presentation, the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Aliyu Halidu Mohammed, congratulated the candidates on their victories at the party primaries and urged them to uphold the ideals and principles of the PDP.

He called on the candidates to focus on issue-based campaigns and embrace inclusive leadership by carrying along all stakeholders, party executives, supporters and loyalists as the party intensifies preparations for the 2027 elections.

Halidu also urged the candidates to maintain cordial and productive relationships with party executives at all levels, particularly the 25 local government chairmen and ward chairmen across the state.

According to him, collaboration with the party structure is essential for effective grassroots mobilisation, organisational stability and electoral success.

The PDP chairman further appealed to members, supporters and stakeholders across the state to remain united and committed to the collective goal of reclaiming power in the 2027 general elections.

“The enduring strength of the PDP lies in its unity, discipline and unwavering dedication to providing purposeful leadership for the people of Niger State,” he said.

Also speaking, a party stakeholder and former First Lady of Niger State, Senator Zainab Kure, commended the party’s flag bearers for their loyalty and commitment to the PDP.

Kure acknowledged the challenges of contesting against the ruling party from the opposition but encouraged the candidates to remain determined and seek divine guidance as they prepare for the elections.

Certificates of return were presented to the party’s three senatorial candidates, six House of Representatives candidates and 24 State House of Assembly candidates who emerged victorious in the PDP primary elections across Niger State.
