A commercial driver alleged to be transporting 98 explosive devices, ₦13 million in cash, and three motorcycles believed to be heading to a bandits’ camp in Bindin village, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State has been intercepted by Security operatives in the State
The suspect was apprehended by the Zamfara State Community Protection Guards during a security operation.
According to the security operatives, the explosives and money were likely meant to support bandit activities in the area, raising fresh concerns about the logistics network fueling insecurity in the state.
The driver is now in custody as investigations continue to uncover those behind the operation.
