MINNA MINING DISASTER: NAMI’S WIFE COMMISERATE WITH EMIR, DONATES ₦10M

Hajiya Hadiza Nami, the wife of the former Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for Niger State, paid a condolence visit to the Emir of Minna, Alhaji (Dr) Umar Faruq Bahago, following the tragic deaths of 37 artisanal miners.
During her visit to the palace, Hajiya Hadiza commiserated with the Emir, the Minna Emirate Council, and the families of the victims who lost their lives in a Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) detention cell.
She described the incident as a deeply painful occurrence and a monumental loss to Niger State.
She offered prayers for Allah’s mercy upon the deceased and asked for strength and comfort for the grieving families.
To support the families of the victims, Hajiya Hadiza announced a cash donation of Ten Million Naira (N10,000,000) to be distributed among them.
In response, the Emir of Minna expressed his gratitude to Hajiya Hadiza Nami for her compassion and solidarity during this time of grief, praying for Allah to reward her.
The Emir also called for a thorough investigation into the incident to ensure it does not happen again.
