In a rejiggiged drive to achieve the renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, a team of 23 pioneer Russian Building engineers of the Ajaokuta Steel Company, have arrived Ajaokuta in Kogi State, to conduct a technical audit of the facility.

This was confirmed by Nigeria authorities on Friday who also shares a picture of the engineers taken in front of the facility.
According to the source, the Russian engineers were to identified areas for improvement and upgrading outdated equipments to ensure effective operations.

“The analog equipment will be replaced with digital ones to bring the facility up to modern standards.”

This move is seen as a crucial step towards completing the long-abandoned project and restoring the steel plant to its former glory.

Speaking with the Nigerian Television Authority, Sumaila Abdul- Akaba, the sole administrator of the Ajaokuta steel company, confirmed this to NTA “The team has visited several units including thermal power plant, light mills Section and the Oxygen Plant.”
