2027: GUREGI WINS NIGER NDC GOVERNORSHIP TICKET

Alhaji Yahaya Mohammed Guregi has officially emerged as the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) governorship candidate for the 2027 general election in Niger State.
He was elected through an unanimous affirmation by delegates during a special primary congress held on Tuesday at the NASFAH Hotel in Tunga, Minna.
The emergency congress was convened to fill the vacancy left by the withdrawal of the party’s former candidate, who had served as a placeholder for the ticket.

NDC GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE
Following his affirmation, Guregi expressed gratitude to party members and promised an inclusive, issue-based campaign built on five core pillars: Security restoration, Infrastructure expansion, Agricultural development Education reform, Job creation
“I accept this nomination with humility and a strong commitment to salvage Niger State from the narrative of bad governance,” Guregi declared. “Together with the NDC, we will build a new Niger State where every citizen has opportunity and hope.”

He specifically vowed to complete all abandoned projects scattered across the state. Additionally, he announced that his official campaign manifesto will be unveiled to the public during an upcoming media event.
